ताजमहाल हे तेजोमहालय आहे (Taj Mahal He Tejomahalay Ahe) is a book written by P.N.Oak. It was published by Raviraj Prakashan in 1989. The book argues that the Taj Mahal was originally a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, and that it was only later converted into a Muslim tomb by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The book is based on Oak's research into the history of the Taj Mahal. He claims that the building was originally built by the Hindu Rajput king Raja Jai Singh in the 12th century. He also claims that the name "Taj Mahal" is a mistranslation of the original Sanskrit name "Tejo Mahalaya", which means "abode of the great light".
