Note:मोपल्यांचे बंड (The Revolt of the Weavers) is a Marathi book written by Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. It was first published in 1909 by the Marathi weekly 'Prabhakar'. The book chronicles the 1873–74 uprising of the weavers of Maharashtra against the British Raj. The book is divided into two parts. The first part describes the social and economic conditions of the weavers in Maharashtra in the 19th century. The second part describes the events leading up to the revolt, and the revolt itself. The book is a valuable historical document, and provides a glimpse into the lives of the ordinary people of Maharashtra during the British Raj. It is also a powerful indictment of the colonial system, and a reminder of the sacrifices that were made in the struggle for freedom. The book was republished in 2019 by Manorama Prakashan.
